Sam Weisman, LPC
Mental Health & Counseling located in Ohio City, Cleveland, OH
I'm Sam, and I am a trauma-informed therapist with specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I have been utilizing with clients for over two years. I naturally gravitate toward working with women, mothers, and anyone seeking peace from early childhood trauma.
My approach is an integrative blend of psychodynamic, existential, and the adaptive information processing model. This allows us to explore how past experiences shape present challenges while fostering self-awareness, resilience, and healing. I believe deeply in the transformational power of talking, listening, and sharing space—this is where the work happens. I don’t assign homework; instead, I focus on what unfolds in our sessions and the therapeutic relationship we build together.
Clients often describe me as having a warm, energetic, and direct presence. You’ll notice I tend to move in my seat often, and at times, my therapy dog may join us. I am naturally active, and for those who prefer, we can even incorporate walking therapy into our work together.
I work with adults (18+) who are ready to explore, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. If you are seeking a supportive space to process trauma, navigate life transitions, or deepen self-understanding, I am here to take that journey with you.
